Filmotype Vanity

Filmotype Vanity (2008, for Filmotype) was originally designed and released in the 1950s. It is the outline/shadow companion to Filmotype Ginger. You might expect that it would have a name like “Ginger Shadow”, but Filmotype had its own peculiar way of naming fonts. Fonts that had outline or shadow effects all had names that started with the letter “V”, hence Vanity. Pro tip: If you track Filmotype Ginger to 20 units, and place it on a lower layer in your graphics app, it can be used as a fill for Filmotype Vanity.

Licensing note: Filmotype Vanity is owned by Font Diner and uses the Font Diner end user license, not mine. You can view the license here. There is also an FAQ about it here.
